THE STORY OF SKEENA COACH

Here to celebrate you

Dear Reader:

I believe in heroes, and I chose the coaching profession that I may be of service to those going through their hero journey. By understanding our hero's journey and recognizing and responding to the call to adventure, we can become agents of positive change for ourselves, others, and our community.

I am here to share with you this message:

We each have a story and every hero's journey ever written emerges from pain and suffering. Our mission is to triumph over our tragedies, and this is the lesson for us all. Greatness comes to those who transform their history into purpose, and our purpose always comes through our service. Let emerge the hero in you and let those around reap the benefit of your triumph.

I hope to meet the hero in you.

With love,
MJ

A little more about me

As the owner of Skeena Coach, a professional coaching and consulting firm, I offer a wide range of services to clients in the areas of population health, business planning, proposal writing, feasibility studies, grant writing, fundraising, workshop and conference facilitation, team event planning, project coordination and program management. My goal is to provide comprehensive and customized solutions to organizations looking to improve their performance and achieve their goals.

I began my professional journey in the field of nursing at St. Lawrence College in Cornwall, Ontario, where I gained extensive clinical experience. I then continued my education, in preventative medicine and population health at Athabasca University, and recently completed a specialization in Impacts of the Environment on Global Public Health through the University of Michigan. My passion for sustainable community development, population health and preventative medicine, informs my role as a Business and Personal Coach, in which I use my expertise in health disparities to empower and support individuals and organizations in achieving their goals.

In addition to my professional experience, I also bring a wealth of skills in writing, research, and business acumen to my work as a coach. I am a former deputy mayor, recipient of a chamber of commerce business of the year award,  published author, former newspaper contributor, guest speaker at more than eighty events, and have facilitated several workshops and support groups.

Based in the traditional territory of the Haisla First Nation, I am privileged to reside in this beautiful area and work cooperatively and advocate effectively to support communities and people in the north through the services of Skeena Coach.
